Cesar Chavez Day

I'm sad to say I had no idea what Cesar Chavez Day was or that it existed, until I started working here where we get it off each year. This year it was actually on his birthday (March 31) and seems pretty timely and relevant given the political climate and all that. Sadly, though, I didn't go out and march for civil rights, I spent my Friday off at brunch with my ex-coworker/friend Iris, and then we went to meander around Fashion Valley. She has been wanting to meet Anana for so long and I planned to bring her to brunch, and Iris was so excited that she went to Trader Joe's the night before and bought dog treats for her!

Can you tell we were bribing her with treats
for this picture?

AJ had long since had plans to use this weekend as spring cleaning, which, as much as it sucked, it was still a nice weekend being around the place together, and cooking together, and having Friends on and taking breaks and having beer and AJ assembled my new chair.

On Sunday we were organizing a bajillion things and AJ came across some old baby pictures. This photo with the black balloon is just so random to me it's funny, and also, I want his mom's dress lololol.

We went to Riverside to meet up with my mom and Jim to finally have my birthday meal, at Farrell's (ice cream heaven!) I could have had five more sundaes mmmm.

I'm having a bad case of the Mondays today, but tonight is a Girls night, so at least that's something to look forward to...
