Somehow we were able to pull off a safe social distanced but still patriotic 4th of July this year.
First of all, AJ surprised me by coordinating with my friend Jessica to come down and surprise me. She was able to get a COVID test and quarantine and then we spent Friday out at the pool and eating pizza in the evening (mmmm...!)
On Saturday, AJ's sister and her fiance came to a safe distance, we had lamb sliders and homemade potato salad (which was really good!) and watched Hamilton on Disney+. I think it was almost better watching the video... at least better than any seats we could afford when we saw it live LOL. And they got some really cool angles too.
I was going to bake our red velvet cake, but just as I was opening the box, AJ informed me I wasn't allowed to have that. Who knew?! Pregnancy is one long list of new things you're not supposed to have or eat. So I had to make the yellow cake + chocolate frosting instead. That's one of my favorite cakes, but didn't quite feel as patriotic.
Khaleesi celebrated by being outside away from us, but in her own little hut.
And while I'm actually 21 weeks today, here's a bumpdate from last week when I was 20 weeks along.
Now that I'm 21 weeks - we're officially more than halfway there! (Although I guess in the end it will depend how soon or late the little lady actually wants to make her appearance...)
