AJ's cousins were in town before the older one goes away to college this fall and we used the second day of our Disney passes to meet up with them at Disneyland. We opted to leave Summer in daycare for the day and go with just Sophie, which in some ways was so much easier, but then also somehow more exhausting?? AJ and I are still hoping for a day we can go to Disneyland just the two of us once again...
We did another 12 hour day there and we were feeling it for the next few days for real. But all in all, for a summer day, the crowd wasn't too bad, we got to do a lot, and Sophie got her first taste of cotton candy.
I got to ride a new ride finally, the Runaway Railway which was really a new experience because there's clearly some new technology going on there without any tracks or anything, but that made up for all the time spent in Toon Town letting Sophie go down the rainbow slide.
There was also an Elton John sighting in Target not too long ago
And I have been loving the Olympics, as usual! Super fun to watch literally whatever sport shows up on the TV, all the fun back stories viral moments... and this year, my hat goes off to the Turkish silver medallist shooter who is apparently a cat person. Something really spoke to me about him before but now I really know he's one of my people.
Just a few days left of the Olympics, but next time it comes around will be real wild considering it'll be in LA!
