Easter 2023

Easter was the weekend we got back from Europe, so we really didn't have any plans for it, or any energy for any plans for it, and it's helpful that Sophie is so young that she really doesn't know the difference.

Still, by Sunday afternoon, I decided to dress her in a bunny dress that is probably already too small for her and she won't have an opportunity to wear again, and she had got some Easter presents from daycare that we opened and included bubbles (her favorite, not ours) and we actually had so much fun watching her and Kiwi go after the bubbles together. They really are best buds!

Debbie had bought a small pack of plastic eggs, so we decided to fill them (with Goldfish crackers, peanut butter pretzels, and coins) and let her have a small Easter egg hunt.

AJ hid the eggs and when I say he hid them... he really hid them! We walked outside and even I couldn't see or find anything. I was like AJ, she's TWO!! You're supposed to hide them in plain sight! I had to go around searching for them and then placing them in obvious places on bushes or walls or under plants. She really, really loved it!

We finally had to hide her eggs this week because she wouldn't stop talking about them and wanting to find them again, so they went into the garage, but I bet next Easter will be so much fun considering how much she loved this one.

We had a nice dinner with AJ's parents as well that evening, it was a nice way to start the week.
