Everyone's over here saying goodbye to summer because school has started and it's past Labor Day, but the real summer starting with the heat wave last week (which we've almost survived after today or tomorrow I suppose).
We had a great Labor Day weekend, which probably culminated in our family trip to Newport Beach. Sophie and Enzo had so much fun in the waves and we taught them how to find sand crabs, which ended up grossing me out more than I remembered.
We had a pretty amazing meltdown that evening but that trauma is slowly fading and I'm just remembering the fun during the day lol.
Sophie started her preschool which has been a fun transition so far, although according to AJ she had her first drop off tantrum today so that's fun, but I know she has such great days and love the pictures that her teachers send.
August was a bit of a rough month for us and September is looking to also be a bit challenging. Our schedule feels slammed and Summer's daycare is going to be closed for about two weeks, so working on white knuckling it through this month as well. But, I'm thankful we have lots of fun things to do.
