Our little Kiwi turned 2 years old and Sophie was very excited to give him a birthday treat. When I told her it was his birthday on December 12, she asked what we would give him, and the answer "maybe some kitty treats" wasn't good enough, so AJ concocted a shredded chicken cake for him that evening, and Sophie helped blow out the candle.
We've been getting in the Christmas spirit (funner and funner each year as Sophie gets older, and Summer is close behind) and we really enjoyed the family Christmas gathering this year. For the record, I wouldn't mind at all if we celebrated on Christmas Day itself again, but anything is better than nothing!

...Who is going to teach this next generation that they are supposed to be our entertainment??
I'll work on that with Sophie for next year. And starting next year I think (hope?) it'll be a much less stressful time for us without having to chase after a 16 month old...
